About the Event
Live Theatre nurtures new creative talent, working with novice and professional actors, writers and theatre companies. Kifaga moui will bring to life laughter, sadness, tears and emotions. Award winning writer, producer, director Vela Manuseta will be premiering his latest work on the shores of Niue. JEEFF of the Savages is a slapstick physical theatre comedy show designed for a Niuean audience. It explores a range of themes relating to Niue and delves into the stereotypes and current issues relevant to the Niue community - Family, hierarchical structure, politics, religion, culture, art, health and well-being, traditional versus the contemporary and the not so traditional! Nothing and nobody gets lefts behind! Vela Manusaute is a Niuean writer, producer and director. He is credited with the original idea for the film The Tattooist. Vela is part-Niuean and part-Samoan; he was born in Niue and lived in his village Mutalau before his family left for New Zealand.
